Sean Mulcahy - Set

Sean Mulcahy is a Toronto based theatrical designer and stylist focused on wardrobe, stage/set and properties.

Described as one of Canada’s “leading younger designers", Sean’s work has been seen throughout Canada, the US and Central America. With numerous professional credits as a designer for theatre, events, commercial and print styling, Sean has worked with some of the most esteemed local and international talent. Select companies include, The Stratford Shakespeare Festival, The Second City Comedy Revue, Obsidian Theatre, Canadian Stage, Rainbow Stage and Neptune Theatre.

Sean is a graduate of York University’s BFA honours program in Theatrical Design and is a professional member and regional representative for The Associated Designers of Canada.

Awards include a Guthrie and The Tom Patterson Award from the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, 6 Merritt Nominations and two Merritts Awarded. In 2011, Sean was shortlisted for the Pauline McGibbon Award in Design and awarded Best Group Costume Design for his work on the inaugural Stratford Festival pride float in the International Toronto Pride Parade.
